Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Business league for crafters

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Line 28 - Craft Events: The Craftworkers' Guild supported the ongoing development of its members as skilled and successful crafters and artisans by staging three major craft fairs, continuing its successful transition to online sales and gradually resuming limited in-person fairs, due to the ongoing circulation of the Covid-19 virus in our community. In spite of the challenges this presented, forty eight members earned $28,027 as a result of the 52 days the shop was open online and in-person during the business year.--
Line 29 - Member Services: The Craftworkers' Guild maintained a cordial and mutually supportive association of members who share an appreciation for arts, crafts and crafting, and the role these play in our culture and heritage. The organization also worked to preserve, develop and share crafting knowledge and skills, and promote excellence in craftsmanship. As a result, 69 members benefited from one-to-one member support and services that included training regarding online craft sales and individual coaching as our members practiced their new skills. In-person meetings and other member events remained suspended due to Covid-19 precautions.--
Line 30 - Outreach and Promotion of Craft: The Craftworkers' Guild supported appreciation of arts and crafts in the community in several ways, despite the impact of Covid-19. Two scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors who planned to pursue higher education with creative components. The Guild contributed to the upkeep of the town-owned historic Oliver Kendall House, thus reducing the tax burden on the community at large. Although further outreach and promotional activities were limited by Covid-19 precautions, the organization expanded its social media presence, which helped to bring in new members with different skills.--
