Schedule D, Part III, Line 1A Supplemental Financial Statement Info Cont.

Several of our exhibits have been upgraded and were ready for display in the early summer of 2022. These include: the fallout shelter theater where visitors can take a trip back to the times of the cold war and the threat of armageddon through videos and survival artifacts and the "duck and cover" video for schoolchildren; the lenni-lenape, european colonization and independence exhibit where people can see art work, dioramas and artifacts: of the lenape at work and learn of their history on the jersey shore; of the history of the early european colonization, and of the revolutionary war in nj. The black history exhibit is being refreshed due to a $7,500 grant from monmouth university to make it more interactive and informative. Visitors will be able to see and learn why camp evans is a significant black history site due to the contributions of dr. Walter mcafee, thomas daniels, william gould iii, and other black engineers and scientists. On the "bricks and mortar" side, we received several small grants that enabled us to continue adding to our curb appeal by painting and repairing several of the original marconi wireless buildings. In 2015, the new jersey historic trust contracted with daedalus projects incorporated, boston, ma for the preservation master plan of the camp evans nhl historic district. The plan came up with a cost estimate of $15,917,302 to repair and restore this historic site over a 15 year period. The infoage board, staff and volunteers are tackling this "elephant" one bite at a time.

Financial Statement Notes

PART III, LINE 1A:

Infoage is a unique collection of over fifteen museums and exhibits focused primarily on the preservation and education of communications and electronics technology (think stem) and the almost 100-year history of service of our campus in the defense of the united states. Our 35-acre campus is located on the camp evans national landmark and new jersey's world war ii living memorial and contains 28 major buildings and dozens of smaller buildings to include the unique buckminster fuller designed dymaxion deployment units (ddu). At present, there is over 43,000 square feet of museum and exhibit space; the opening of the electronic warfare/radar pavilion in 2023 will add another 4,000 square feet of interactive and hands-on exhibit space. To manage this sizeable campus takes a dedicated board, staff and volunteers. Infoage has an eighteen member fully engaged board with diverse experience, education and background that lends itself not only to our primary mission but also our sub-missions. Our staff is composed of two full time employees (a facility manager and an administrator) and seven part time employees (the ceo, a janitor, four admissions staff and a volunteer coordinator) who work a total of 35 hours (f/t) per week, and 20 hours (ceo) and 5 hours for the other staff. However, the backbone of infoage is its volunteers. In 2022 over 200 infoage volunteers contributed over 21,538 recorded hours of their time working to increase the infoage experience. In spite of the covid 19 virus that has caused other museums and learning centers to close or reduce hours, infoage not only survived but remains open and vibrant!! We reopened august 1, 2020 and have been open ever since, steadily seeing ever increasing numbers of visitors, schools, scout troops, and senior and civic groups. In 2022 we had over 9,000 visitors and our two websites (www.infoage.org and www.isec.space) had 193,555 visits. We continued our stem mission by modifying our business model to include virtual and live on-line presentations as we continued our on-site and visiting programs to schools and civic and veteran groups. Schools from new york (rockland and brooklyn), north jersey (bayonne), and the monmouth and ocean county areas were some of the first to visit in 2021 and have returned in 2022. Infoage also hosted numerous boy scout troops from wall, howell, freehold and various other monmouth county communities to assist the scouts to attain merit badges and complete eagle scout projects. Sea cadets now call infoage home as they receive monthly classes, lectures and presentations on a variety of stem subjects. Some recent accomplishments that demonstrate infoage's impact county wide, statewide, nationally and internationally are as follows: wall of honor reception; held in october, 103 attendees honored engineers and scientists who, by their life's work, have made significant contributions to the defense of our nation with their accomplishments at the us army's former camp evans and fort monmouth. In addition we honored two other extremely deserving citizens with our patriot and chairman's award. Our vintage computer fest - east, held this past april 14-16, was attended by over 800 people from 7 countries and 22 states and the featured speakers were commodore engineers such as bil herd, dave haynie, and andy finkel. Recordings for all the speakers are available on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/vintagecomputerfederation501c3. Vcf also hosted swap and repair meets throughout the year. Our monthly infoage space exploration center (isec) "spaceflight lecture series" featured presentations given by nasa ambassador frank o'brien on such subjects as the james webb telescope, the asteroid psyche, spacewalks, and dart's asteroid redirection. Our bi-monthly lecture series focuses on history and science and included presentations such as "911 - calling all boats", "edwin armstrong - birth of the electronics age", "fort monmouth history", "wwi - the hello girls", and "ve

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0INFOAGE IS A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF OVER FIFTEEN MUSEUMS AND EXHIBITS FOCUSED PRIMARILY ON THE PRESERVATION AND EDUCATION OF COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (THINK STEM) AND THE ALMOST 100-YEAR HISTORY OF SERVICE OF OUR CAMPUS IN THE DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES.
