“NJIO concluded its 29th Season at the end of June 2023. NJIO returned to holding its full complement of 4 free community concerts in FY23 after only hosting 3 in FY22 due to lingering COVID concerns. Two of the concerts featured winners of NJIO's Young Artist Concerto Competition playing with the Symphony Orchestra. Three NJIO ensembles- Prelude,Intermezzo, and Symphony-participated in the 4 concerts, with the Holiday concert featuring a combined ensemble.”

“NJIO's Outreach Ensemble performed 12 times at varied locations around the state, bringing NJIO music to less accessible venues such as retirements homes,senior centers,and hospitals as well as community groups such as libraries. These performances are less than one hour and feature light classical and pop music that often bring back mmories to the audience.”

“NJIO offered a summer proram to the community tha focused on developing string player repertoire.”
