Mission and Program Overview

Mission

340b health educates and advocates for hospitals eligible to participate in the 340b program in order to increase the affordability and accessibility of health care for patients in need, especially those living with low incomes or in isolated...see schedule ocontinued from page 2...rural communities. Formed in 1993, member hospitals include some of the nation's largest non-profit academic medical centers and some of its smallest rural community-based facilities. The 340b program requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs at reduced prices to eligible hospitals, clinics, and health centers that serve large numbers of patients with low income and rural patient populations.

Leading advocate & resource for those hospitals who serve their communities through participation in the 340b drug pricing program.
