“Copies of the completed draft form 990 (including required schedules) are distributed electronically to the Board of Directors for review and approval. Questions and concerns are addressed; suggested changes are noted and modifications are approved. Management staff ensures that approved changes are incorporated into the Form 990 as appropriate.”

“BARKA Foundation conflict of interest policy is present and enforced to protect the organization's interest when it is contemplating entering into a transaction or arrangement that may benefit the private interest of one its officers or directors, or may result in a possible excess benefit transaction. The policy is intended to supplement any applicable state and federal laws governing conflicts of interest.An interested person must disclose the existence of the beneficial interest to the other members of the board. The other board members will then exercise due diligence and decide by majority vote if a conflict of interest exists. If the other board members believe that a conflict of interest exists, appropriate corrective action will be enforced.”
