Mission

White Fields cares for abused and neglected boys ages 8 to 18 who have experienced multiple failed placements and have no place left to go. White Fields' mission is to provide hope to these boys, empower them to be productive citizens by providing them with a continuum model of care offering a long term home and healing. White Fields provides them with a place to belong by surrounding them with love and compassion, time to heal, and the resources needed to be successful in life.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

Income Tax Status - White Fields, Inc. qualifies as an organization exempt from income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is subject to a tax on income from any unrelated business, as defined by Section 509(a)(1) of the Code. The Organization currently has no unrelated business income. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been recorded.White Fields, Inc. has adopted the recognition requirements for uncertain income tax positions as required by generally accepted accounting principles. Income tax benefits are recognized for income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return only when it is determined that the income tax position will more-likely-than-not be sustained upon examinations by taxing authorities. The Organization has analyzed tax positions taken for filing with the Internal Revenue Service and the Oklahoma Tax Commission and believes that income tax filing positions will be sustained upon examination and does not anticipate any adjustments that would result in a material adverse effect on the Organization's financial condition, results of operations, or cash flows. Accordingly, the Organization has not recorded any reserves, or related accruals for interest and penalties for uncertain income tax positions at June 30, 2015. Additionally, the Organization is subject to routine audits by taxing authorities for as far back as the previous three filing periods. There are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress.

IRS990/Desc0White Fields has implemented a unique continuum of care that consists of 5 distinct levels (D+, C, Specialized Community Home, Foster Care Home, and an emergency overflow shelter). Our care structure allows boys to live at White Fields until they graduate from high school and are able to support themselves. During their time at White Fields, the boys regain the ability to trust, heal emotionally, broaden relationships and develop into adulthood. White Field's campus consists of 5 residential cottages, an administrative building, multipurpose building for recreation and dining, a horticulture center, playground, skate park, pond, and community garden. We also have an education center that houses a gymnasium, indoor swimming facility and fine arts class rooms for trauma based therapy. White Filds Programs are tailored to heal the wounds that are left from trauma, neglect, and abuse. These include group therapy, art therapy, basic living and social skills group, substance abuse and chemical dependency therapy, behavior redirection, occupational and speech therapy, enrichment activities, psychiatric services, tutoring, mentoring, education services, food and nutrition program, and recreational program services. Whtie Fields served 20 children in the past year. We welcomed 6 new boys into our facility. We had 6 boys transition from our houseparent cottage into foster homes. We had 4 boys transition from the highest D+ level of care to our houseparent cottage. White Fields celebrated another high school graduate in 2015 and he has continued his education in a local Christian based university.
