THE CLINICS PROVIDE FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES OR COVERAGE BY HEALTH PLANS, INSURANCE, OR GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS. THE CLINICS PROVIDE PREVENTIVE, DIAGNOSTIC, AND FOLLOW-UP MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE TO THE RESIDENTS OF LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES. DURING 2012-2013, THE HEALTH CENTERS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 28,000 PATIENTS WHICH ACCOUNTED FOR 118,000 VISITS. QUEENSCARE ALSO PROVIDES MOBILE VISION AND DENTAL PROGRAMS TO LOW-INCOME SCHOOL COMMUNITIES THROUGH LAUSD, THE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, WITH VISION SCREENINGS AND 4 MOBILE FULLY EQUIPPED DENTAL VANS. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HEALTH CENTERS, QUEENSCARE PROVIDES FUNDING FOR A PERINATAL SERVICE FOR HIGH-RISK PREGNANCIES. |
