Mount st. Mary's college offfers a dynamic learning experience in the liberal arts and sciences to a diverse student body. As a catholic college primarily for women, we are dedicated to providing a superior education enhanced by an emphasis on building leadership skills and fostering a spirit to serve others. Our measure of success is graduates who are committed to using their knowledge and skills to better themselves, their environments, and the world.
Mount st. Mary's college is a california nonprofit public benefit corporation founded by the sisters of st. Joseph of carondelet (provincialate), a religious community of the roman catholic church. The college was founded in 1925 by the sisters of st. Joseph and has operated continously since that date. The objective of mount st. Mary's college as a nonprofit educational institution is service. The college has devoted itself to excellence in liberal arts and sciences and grants degrees in associate, baccalaureate and masters programs, with a special focus on the education of women for leadership positions in our society.
