Mission

Cascade housing association is organized for the purpose of relieving the situation of the poor and impoverished. The organization's most significant function, to date, has been to provide decent affordable rental housing to persons/households with qualified low incomes, as determined by various federal and state agencies.

Day-to-day management of low-income housing properties owned by the organization is contracted to a licensed property management company. New projects under construction have delegated project managers. The organization through its board monitors these managers and retains ultimate responsibility for all decision making of the organization.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Cascade housing association is exempt from federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and comparable state statutes and did not have any unrelated business income for the years ended december 31, 2016 and 2015. Due to its tax exempt status, cascade housing association is not subject to income taxes. Accordingly, these financial statements do not reflect a provision for income taxes and there are no other tax positions which must be considered for disclosure. Cascade housing association is required to file and does file tax returns with the irs and other taxing authorities.
