“Line 28 (Program Accomplishments): Kore Press is an intersectional feminist literary arts organization dedicated to creating more just and radically connected communities through the transformative power of deep engagement in literary, community, and social practice arts. By amplifying and celebrating all womens voices with publishing, education, and community engagement, Kore builds social and cultural cohesion for healthier communities. During FY 22-23, Kore Press mentored one young literary professional, sold and distributed our titles internationally, and mounted a 30 year retrospective exhibit which was up for 5 months (and gave public talks about the history of cultural production at Kore Press). Kore published an online newsletter with original content, conducted interviews, submitted two poetry titles to writing contests, helped coordinate with bookstores and other venues where authors gave readings. The Press worked with an author to compile, edit and prepare for publication a new manuscript for print and audio distribution.”
