“Primavera's emergency services, workforce development, property and asset management, homeownership and financial empowerment, community building and engagement, and neighborhood revitalization programs and services provide opportunities for individuals and families to develop, attain, and sustain safe, stable, independent, engaged, and productive lives. All programs are focused on the following four goals: survival, stability, security, and sustainability. During the fy 2019-2020, primavera foundation maintained the following ratings and certification: neighborworks america exemplary health rating; four star charity from charity navigator; guidestar platinum seal of transparency; and, carf certification. In early march, 2020, primavera foundation implemented a covid-19 plan designed to ensure the health and well-being of the staff, volunteers, and community members to prevent and mitigate the spread and impact of covid-19 while also carrying out the organizational mission to provide services to and advocacy with the most marginalized and vulnerable members in southern arizona. Primavera's resilient business model ensured that the organization would continue to provide critical services while adding new protocols and plans throughout the fiscal year to adapt to the fast paced, constantly changing pandemic environment. With support from government partners, foundations, and individual donors, primavera greatly expanded eviction prevention and utility assistance by 60% as well as rapid re-housing programs to families in crisis from the pandemic. In addition, primavera halted evictions at all multifamily rental housing properties to support individuals and families in crisis due to the coronavirus.”
“In fiscal year 2020, 1,398 volunteers provided 25,511 volunteer hours of support to primavera foundation. This is a value of $693,899. Volunteers work in all of primavera's lines of business, multiple programs, as well as performing administrative tasks. Some examples of the types of jobs carried out by volunteers include: program participant intake process; meal teams for several shelters, housing programs and primavera works; clerical positions; receptionist; filing; sorting program participant mail; assisting with handling of food boxes and in-kind donations; helping with the community annual street count of persons experiencing homelessness; rehab projects at primavera properties; community gardening; neighborhood clean-up and art projects; legal services; primavera cooks! Fundraising events; workshops for program participants such as: job readiness, employment retention, financial empowerment, home-buyer and post-homeownership education; and, board governance and oversight.”

IN FY 2019-2020, THE EMERGENCY SERVICES PROGRAMS SERVED 4,946 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS. 2,274 INDIVIDUALS HAD THEIR IMMEDIATE HEALTH AND SAFETY NEEDS MET, INCLUDING MAIL AND PHONE MESSAGE SERVICE AND SECURING IDENTIFICATION CARDS; 4,693 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED OUTREACH SERVICES INCLUDING RESOURCE COORDINATION; 672 PEOPLE RECEIVED HOUSING ASSESSMENTS THROUGH THE HIP ACCESS POINT FOR THE TUCSON PIMA COLLABORATION TO END HOMELESSNESS (TPCH); 345 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED RENT/UTILITY ASSISTANCE ENABLING THEM TO PREVENT EVICTION; 612 MEN RECEIVED SHELTER, FOOD, AND OTHER SERVICES; 13 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED MOTEL VOUCHERS AND 88% EXITED THE MOTEL PROGRAM WITH EMERGENCY/PERMANENT HOUSING; 23 FAMILY HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED SAFE SHELTER, FOOD, AND RESOURCE COORDINATION WITH 63% OF ADULT FAMILY MEMBERS LEAVING THE PROGRAM WITH INCOME AND 95% LEAVING WITH PERMANENT HOUSING; CASA PALOMA SERVED 112 DROP-IN WOMEN, PROVIDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH, SHOWERS, WASHERS AND DRYERS, AND ASSISTANCE WITH FINDING HOUSING; 24 WOMEN WITH EMERGENCY SHELTER, AND 9 WOMEN WITH TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, FOOD, AND WRAP AROUND SERVICES. 140 HOUSEHOLDS SECURED SAFE, AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING THROUGH RAPID RE-HOUSING SERVICES. 371 VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES, EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS/AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS, SECURED SAFE, AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING AND WRAP AROUND SERVICES WITH 87% LEAVING THE PROGRAM WITH SUSTAINABLE HOUSING. |

ASSET MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL RENTAL, OFFICE, AND COMMUNITY CENTER PROPERTIES. PRIMAVERA'S GOALS FOR DEVELOPING AND MANAGING HOUSING AND COMMUNITY CENTER PROPERTIES IS TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE HAVE FAIR ACCESS TO SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING AS WELL AS THE SUPPORT NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND ENGAGEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY. THE AVERAGE OCCUPANCY RATE WAS 91%; THE AVERAGE COLLECTION RATE WAS 100%. OVERALL, THE PORTFOLIO ACHIEVED REVENUE AND EXPENSE GOALS AND OUTPERFORMED THE PREVIOUS YEAR'S NET OPERATING INCOME (NOI). THE TOTAL NOI FOR THE YEAR WAS $19,641. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020, 324 INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN WORKS WITH THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES: 80 PARTICIPANTS WITH BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT SECURED JOBS OUTSIDE THE PROGRAM; 185 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED TEMPORARY WORK EXPERIENCE; 324 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING JOB READINESS TRAINING AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT; AND, 154 PARTICIPANTS INCREASED THEIR HOURLY WAGES. IN ADDITION, $375,851 OF PRIMAVERA WORKS REVENUES CAME FROM BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS. 31 WATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS WERE INSTALLED IN THE COMMUNITY WITH A COLLECTION CAPACITY OF 53,500 GALLON OF WATER. 13 OJT (ON THE JOB TRAINING) PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED TRAINING IN WATER HARVESTING SYSTEMS. |
