FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

The stated mission of grammy's house is to liberate all families from fear and violence. Grammy's house seeks to provide a safe environment, assisting in the advocacy, education, and empowerment of victims and child-witness victims of domestic violence. Grammy's house strives to educate the community at large about the effects of domestic violence on adults and children.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Grammys house accomplishments for 2025 internal staffing grammys house filled several positions which were vacant during the previous year. First, we filled the receptionist position with a bi-lingual skilled employee with fifteen years of public managerial experience. Second, we filled the domestic violence offender treatment intervention facilitator position with another skilled bi-lingual individual with several years of public service include working in corrections. Last, at the present, grammys house is fully staffed and there are currently no vacant positions. This is huge accomplishment for grammys house as we did struggle to fill one evening and one weekend position. Funding and fundraising another accomplishment is that grammys house received an increase in funding from three long-term funders. This was an incredibly positive gain and really helped us increase our budget. Additionally, we also received an increase in overall non-restricted donations. This year, our board of directors conducted a fund raiser within our community. They successfully raised close to 37,000.00 for grammys house operations. Client successes grammys house assisted a total of 163 victims of domestic violence with counseling, shelter, orders of protection, on-site crisis intervention, nutrition, daily care packages, clothing, transportation, and pet kennels for the clients fur baby survivors. Grammys house helped a total of eighteen (18) families with their transition to permanent housing. The assistance involved help with non-refundable deposits, food, cleaning supplies, furniture, and advocacy for after-care support. Donations from community grammys house was the recipient of two wonderful donation drives. The federal law enforcement training center border patrol agents hosted a school supply drive for our agency. The supplies donated were in abundance and we were able to help over fifty-six families with their school supply needs. Our local yucca elementary school fifth graders hosted a nonperishable food drive for grammys house. Megan miller, teacher, spearheaded this food drive as a contest (fifth graders)for a pizza party for whoever brought in the most food. Grammys house received an abundance of non-perishable food which afforded us an opportunity to share with the community at large (other organizations). Community outreach domestic violence awareness month grammys house dv trainers took part in the 2025 artesia junior high school health and wellness day on october 16, 2025. The focus of health and wellness day was for the whole school, park junior high school, to come together and focus on what it means to be healthy. Through fun, interactive presentations and hands-on activities, students and staff discovered practical ways to take care of their body, mind, and relationshipswhile building connections with each other and our community. We presented material on domestic violence awareness, teen-dating, bullying, and safety to 523 students throughout the entire day.
