“Missouri Immunization Coalition (MIC) is dedicated to improving the health of Missourians by reducing the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases across the lifespan. In the most recent fiscal year, MIC invested significantly in statewide educational campaigns aimed at increasing public awareness about the importance of immunizations. These initiatives included the development and distribution of educational materials, hosting community outreach events, and leveraging media platforms to disseminate accurate vaccine information. Through these efforts, MIC reached diverse populations across Missouri, addressing vaccine hesitancy, and promoting informed decision-making regarding immunizations. MIC also actively engages in advocacy efforts to support policies that enhance vaccine access and uptake. During the fiscal year, the organization collaborated with policymakers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to advocate for immunization-friendly legislation and funding. These activities included providing expert testimony, participating in policy forums, and developing policy briefs to inform decision-makers. MICs advocacy work aims to create a supportive environment for immunization programs and to ensure that vaccines remain accessible to all Missourians.Recognizing the importance of collaboration, MIC fosters partnerships with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations. In the reported fiscal year, MIC facilitated statewide coalitions and workgroups focused on immunization initiatives. These collaborations aimed to coordinate efforts, share best practices, and develop unified strategies to improve vaccination rates. By bringing together diverse partners, MIC enhanced the effectiveness and reach of immunization programs throughout Missouri.”
