Mission

Supporting mental illness to create better communities. Providing training, work and healthcare in a clubhouse environment. Providing support to people living on the fringe of society due to mental illness.

Community 43 is dedicated to the recovery of people with mental illness by providing a therapeutic community that offers housing, supported employment, education, and social services. Through meaningful work and relationships, members achieve greater independence, purpose.

Housing has been added as a program as we are seeing members being forced out of their housing due to rapidly increased rents and section 8 not able to meet the raising costs. Member services, which has been part of program is being broken out into a program of its own. Community services and program services have been seperated as well.

General explanation attachment

This tax return is late due to a fire in the building in september 2024. As it was a lithium battery fire, the area was not available to access records and books were recreated using bank statements, financial reports for software and other vendors. An insurance claim has been filed and that section of the building is still waiting on occupancy approval from the city.
