Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 11B

The 990 will be reviewed and approved by the board prior to filing.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

At each monthly board meeting, conflicts of interest are requested to be disclosed at the beginning of each meeting. Should a conflict of interest be perceived or anticipated, this is subject for discussion at the executive committee or full board level.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

The chief executive officer's performance is reviewed by the board annually and any decisions made about pay increases are made by the executive committee.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15B

Every three years the staff gathers comparables on similar positions in the nonprofit and government sectors. These are submitted to the executive committee and then the board for review. If approved, salary ranges for staff may be altered. In addition, as part of the annual staff performance evaluation process, all staff salaries are reviewed and compensation adjusted, if merited.

FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Our mission is to assist low-income, single parents in their efforts to achieve economic independence and become free from community and government assistance while building and maintaining strong, healthy families. Every day, project self-sufficiency breaks new ground with single-parent families to access their selfpower. Our ultimate goal is for families to live a completely different life through the power of education and a targeted career path.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Project self-sufficiency assisted 109 single parents during the year ended december 31, 2022. Each program participant was matched with an advisor from the project self-sufficiency staff who helps with goal setting, career planning, problem solving, barrier removal, access to education, counseling, and employment. Expenses to provide these services include salaries and benefits for program staff and program management, as well as supplies, postage, printing, office space and other expenses related to program execution. Additional expenses related to program activities and resources that directly remove barriers to self-sufficiency are included in the categories below. See the annual program report at www.bringthepower.org for further information. Look in the "about us" section.
