THIS INCLUDED A DONATION THAT ALLOWED THE NONPROFIT TO PURCHASE A MULTIFAMILY LOW-INCOME APARTMENT BUILDING THAT THE NONPROFIT USED TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING. DURING 2023, THE NONPROFIT RECEIVED A LARGE DONATION FROM ANOTHER NONPROFIT ENTITY AND WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL HOUSING IN 2024 THAT WILL SUPPORT THE MISSION.THE NONPROFIT HAD A SLOWER THAN ANTICIPATED START TO THESE PUBLICLY SUPPORTED ACTIVITIES DUE TO THE GLOBAL COVID PANDEMIC THAT BEGAN IN 2020. THIS WAS ONLY SHORTLY AFTER THE NONPROFIT WAS CREATED. THIS AFFECTED PEOPLE'S ABILITY TO DONATE AS MANY HAD LOST THEIR JOBS AND THE OVERALL STRESS OF THIS PANDEMIC SLOWED THE STARTUP AND ABILITY TO FUNDRAISE. HOWEVER, THE NONPROFIT WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE HOUSING TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS/FAMILIES WITH THE DONATIONS ALREADY RECEIVED. THE NONPROFIT HAS A WELL-QUALIFIED BOARD WITH DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS, SKILL SETS AND PERSPECTIVES WHO ARE ABLE TO REPRESENT THE BROAD INTERESTS OF THE PUBLIC. THEY ARE FOCUSED ON WAYS TO INCREASE THE NONPROFIT'S PUBLIC SUPPORT EVEN FURTHER, IN ORDER TO FUND THEIR MISSION TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TO THOSE IN NEED.
