“Line 28: Cultural Networking Software Platform And Community. Acqaint is a community of volunteers who connects arcross generations and cultures to raise global awareness and overcome toxic divisions in the world. We call this "cultural networking." In 2020, hundreds of volunteers have connected for thousands of hourse across seven countries and 18 US states, with volunteers ranging from ages 14-95. We have also partnered with over two dozen organizations (including non-profit, for profit, and government) to offer volunteer opportunities to their members. Volunteers use our new in-house software platform - https:/www.acquaint.org to engage in one-on-one conversations, facilitated by positive virtual experiences (including for Virtual Reality/XR) as is icebreakers. We started building this software platform in late 2019 and have continued to enhance its features in 2020.”

“Form 990 EZ Part 3, Line 28: Acquaint is a grassroots cultural exchange platform where anyone from anywhere can volunteer to build global peace and inclusion. In the past year, over 800 volunteers from 90+ countries have connected on Acquaint to engage in purposeful dialogue to share perspectives and life experiences. According to UNESCO, Improved communication is the first step towards enhancing interculturalism within diverse societies and laying the foundation for peaceful societies, without which progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals cannot be achieved. By practicing tolerance and active listening across diverse cultures, Acquaint Volunteers help build the foundation for a stronger global community where humanity is able to address the world's greatest challenges. Some milestones from the last year include: 1. Collecting survey data from volunteers. Some example statistics include: -84% developed stronger intercultural communication skills -93% reported a more positive view of humanity -68% improved understanding of diverse accents and dialects 2. Creating a software feature that prompts volunteers to send notes of appreciation to each other after a dialogue session. Here are a couple recent examples of such notes:”
