“Acquaint allows volunteers from around the world to help build community through a practice of human connection. In 2024, Acquaint nearly doubled participation in its one-on-one conversations while maintaining quality and reducing per-participant costs through continued automation and software improvements. The community expanded to new regions, and thousands of new appreciation notes were shared among volunteers, reflecting strong global engagement. Acquaint advanced the human connection practice research framework built into its platform, incorporating new insights from its growing community. This framework helps guide the design of future trainings and ensures that Acquaints model remains practical, evidence-based, and scalable. The organization also began design work for its new Missions feature, which encourages volunteers to apply connection skills through small, real-world actions. This feature was completed and launched in 2025. Acquaint expanded its team to four part-time contractors from Sierra Leone, Pakistan, the United States, and Canada, reflecting its global scope and collaborative approach.
