“As part of 314 action's programing to promote data-driven fact-based approaches to public policy 314 action's president attended and presented at many scientific conferences in 2021 such as american association for the advancement of science, we21 (society of women engineers), and american geophysical union. One of 314 action's core principals is to increase civic engagement with the stem community. As such 314 action presented to many science policy committees on college and university campus including university of cincinnati, susquehanna university, suny buffalo and cornell university. Once a quarter, 314 action hosted policy, political and informational briefings with supporters, activists and the public to give them access to experts in public policy, legislation, governing and science. Panelists included scientist and us senator john hickenloper, hawaii lt. Governor, covid response coordinator, and pandemic preparedness expert josh green. These briefings encourage engagement and were open to the public for anyone to attend. President biden's build back better act provided 314 action's network of supporters the opportunity to advocate for the proposed 3 billion dollars for future pandemic preparedness. 314 action ran digital ads calling on west virginia voters to call senator manchin's office and demand he support fully funding pandemic preparedness. Additionally, 314 action targeted several governors with digital ads and text messages reminding voters of their respective positions on covid mask policies and vaccines.”
