After disclosure, the interested person shall leave the board or committee meeting while the determination of a conflict of interest is discussed and voted upon. The interested person may make a presentation to the board or committee, but shall leave the meeting during the discussion of and vote of the transaction or arrangement involving the potential conflict of interest. The board shall determine whether it is appropriate to investigate alternatives to the proposed arrangement with reasonable efforts to obtain a more advantageous arrangement from a person that would not give rise to a conflict of interest. All officers and directors are required to annually disclose all potential conflicts of interest.”

“The operations manager's compensation is determined by the organization's board of directors, independent from the operations manager. The operations manager is not allowed to vote on this issue. The level of compensation was determined with reference to compensation paid to similar contractors for similar services provided, salary surveys, and similar comparability data. The deliberation and determination of the operation manager's compensation is contemporaneously documented in board minutes and the approved budget.”

Healthcare data and analytics also strives to advance the state of healthcare data warehousing and analytics.”

“During 2024, the organization changed from a 501(c)(6) to a 501(c)(3) public charity status 509(a)(2). The effective date of 501(c)(3) exemption is november 25, 2024. The organization is being reported on this return under its new status.”

“Annual conference the organization hosted the healthcare data and analytics association conference, was attended by 357 people. The conference consisted of keynote speakers, presentations offered in a set of multiple tracks with a total of 29 presentations, 23 posters, 3 panels, and 13 roundtables. Improvements to the conference this year included bringing conference management in-house and implementation of a mobile app for better attendee experience in managing their schedules. Many volunteers assisted with the conference providing presentations, moderation, logistics, technical support, registration support, and other services. Conference presentations and posters are available for viewing on the organization's website for all hdaa members.”
