Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

Policy is reviewed annually.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15B: Compensation Review and Approval Process for Officers and Key Employees

Transition House's bylaws state that the board has the responsibility of hiring, setting salary, and terminating the executive director (ED).The ED performance and salary are reviewed on an annual basis around the anniversary of the date of hire. The board forms an ad hoc committee which meets and decides process for the review, undertakes the actual review, conducts about 5 confidential interviews with support staff to gain further information about the ED's performance, reports findings to the board and recommends any salary increase. The full board votes to accept the findings of the review committee and any salary increase. After the full board votes, members of the committee meet to deliver the review to the ED which includes a recap of the year's performance along with goals for the coming year and any information on salary increase or bonus. Both the ED and committee members sign the review.
