“Part III Line 4aAdoption & Beyond, Inc. is a non-profit agency licensed by the states of Kansas & Missouri. Adoption & Beyond, Inc. assists with domestic, private, embryo, foster and international adoptive services. Adoption & Beyond strives to meet the needs of children, expecting birth parents and hopeful adoptive parents by providing quality adoption services in Kansas and Missouri before and after placement. Services are provided to birth families considering adoption for their child. In 2020, 46 expecting birth parents inquired about the adoption services of the Agency. Birth families considering adoptive placement for their child are provided with counseling, education, living expenses related to the pregnancy, placement services and post-placement support. In the event the birth parent chooses to parent, follow-up services and referrals are provided. In 2020, 513 hopeful adoptive families inquired about the adoption service of the Agency. Adoptive families wishing to build their family through adoption, are provided with free consultations to discuss the six different avenues of adoption in order to help a family determine the right path to pursue for adoption efforts. In 2020, Adoption & Beyond provided 97 free consultations to families. The first step in the adoption journey for a hopeful adoptive family is an adoptive home study. In the adoptive home study process, families are required to attend a workshop that is led by Adoption & Beyond staff. The workshop builds a deeper learning for families and teaching them to always look at what is in the childs best interest as they approach all aspects of adoption. The home study is also an assessment process to determine whether a family has the ability to care for a child in a safe, nurturing and healthy environment. In 2020, Adoption & Beyond provied 93 home studies to prospective adoptive families. Upon placement of a child with an adoptive family, post-placement visits occur to ensure healthy adjustments for everyone. The reports are submitted to the court or country where the adoption occurred. In 2020, Adoption & Beyond provided 26 post-placement visits to adoptive families families and their children.”
