“Lena start is an evidence-based parent education program focused on increasing interactive talk between parents with children three and younger. The primary goal of the lena start program is to increase language development in children from low-income families in order to close the achievement gap between children from poverty-level families and their more privileged peers.lena start's 13-week program hosts one-hour sessions and includes slide presentations, videos, practical techniques, and regular feedback from lena technology to help parents improve their home talk environment. Between sessions parents are given a "talk pedometer" to use with their children that records interactive talk between parent and child throughout the day. The talk pedometer is a safe device the child wears. Data from the device is then analyzed through lena technology software and feedback is given to parents each week that includes adult word count, interactions between child and adults (conversational turns), self-reported reading minutes, and minutes of electronics/tv sound that may interfere with conversations.in partnership with unidosus, avanzando through college is a program with a goal to equip students with the skills, information, and support systems needed to identify student services, transfer to a four-year college (if applicable), and graduate college. To meet these goals, the avanzando program offers 13 monthly workshops and events focused on topics identified by researchers, practitioners, and students as key to college retention and success of latino college students.”

“The concilio does not file a w-3 directly as it uses a peo for employment and payroll functions. During 2017 the concilio had 74 individuals employed under the peo arrangment. All compensation information disclosed in part vii of the 990 was paid by the peo and filed under its combined w-3.”
