Mission

The Avoda Institute is an educational

Major Activities

Activity 2
Advocacy: the institute partners with more than 20 local, regional and national organizations to foster an environment in which the arts can thrive and contribute to the creation of more meaningful jewish learning communities. The institute provides extensive research, information and professional development opportunities for community leaders, in order to motivate and mobilize them to fund new arts-based jewish learning initiatives. In addition, the institute is a founding partner of - and continues to participate actively in - the six points fellowship for emerging jewish artists, which provides training and jewish education opportunities to a cohort of 12 artists who are creating and delivering cultural programs throughout the greater new york city area.
Activity 3
Professional training: the institute provides half-day and full-day professional development workshops that advance the arts within the jewish education community. Since the organization's inception, the institute has equipped more than 600 teaching professionals across the country with tools and techniques for integrating the arts more productively into the jewish classroom.
