Programs are designed to experience the beauty of the parks, learn about their history and ecology, and give back to the National Parks Foundation and local nonprofits working on park-related issues. This year we visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Documentary Film Symposium - October 2021 The documentary film symposium is L3s most popular event. A group of members review and select documentary films for us to watch together at a different location each year. The films cover thought- provoking topics and have ties to nonprofit organizations. Filmmakers and guest presenters join us for conversations. This year L3 went to Colorado Springs to review and discuss My Fathers, Princes Tale, White Eye, Earthrise, We Have Reached the Moment, and The Tables. Road Rally Life-long Learning Experiences - August 2021 The Road Rally is a fun way to get to know a part of the country. We meet with local historians and experts to learn about the area while we follow clues that lead us to the next experience. This year we visited New Yorks Hudson River Valley for a study of the Revolutionary War.
