Mission

Housing Partnership is a not-for-profit community development organization partnering with communities to change the odds for our children and families facing social, emotional and financial adversity.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Our mentoring school-based programs operate in the high-need geographic locations of belle glade, pahokee and highland elementary in lake worth. The mentored youth have an opportunity to form lasting relationships with significant mentors who provide guidance and support. Participation in a nurturing, stable relationship with an adult in their life increases their protective factors and helps the youth reach their fullest potential. A proven strategy of our mentoring programs is to provide on-going trainings, support and supervision for the mentor and child matches. All programs are supported by children's services council of palm beach county. We facilitated over 160 mentor and child matches this year.
Activity 3
Our youth enrichment academies are licensed after-school programs and summer camps serving school-aged children 5 - 12 years old living in belle glade and pahokee. Children enjoy a wide variety of activities and programming that develop the assets in youth which lead to resilience and success. Our after school programming has been serving the glades community for 17 years. We served over 200 children this year.

MANY CLIENTS SERVED BY OUR COUNSELORS HAVE A HISTORY OF HOSPITALIZATION OR OTHER INSTITUTIONALIZATION, WHILE SOME HAVE BEEN HOMELESS OR WOULD FACE HOMELESSNESS WITHOUT OUR PROGRAMS, SUCH AS YOUTH AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE WITH A MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS. IN THE PAST THREE YEARS, 100% OF OUR CLIENTS HAVE REPORTED IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR HOUSING SITUATION.
