PART X, LINE 2:

The organization has adopted the provisions of asc no 740, "accounting for uncertainty in income taxes" ("asc no 740"). Asc 740 required that the impact of tax positions to be recognized in the financial statements if they are more likely than not of being sustained upon examination. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is made in the financial statements. At 12/31/20, there were no uncertain tax positions. The organization files tax returns with us federal and other tax authorities for which statue limitations may go back to the year ended 2017.

WE HAVE HAD AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITHIN OUR PROGRAM AND ORGANIZATION. STEP UP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM GRADES K-5: PARENT CHOICE STATE FUNDED FOR CHILDREN WITH AND WITHOUT DISABILITIES. WE CELEBRATED STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENTS, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS AND OUR 100% COMMITMENT TO QUALITY AND EXCELLENCE IN THE SCHOOL AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY. JANUARY AND FEBRUARY THE PROGRAM WAS HELD IN-PERSON AS ALWAYS. FROM MARCH 30, 2020, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2020, OUR TEACHERS PROVIDED EDUCATION THROUGH DISTANCE LEARNING, VIRTUALLY FOR 25 ELEMENTARY STUDENTS. THE ELEMENTARY TEACHERS CONTINUED WITH LESSONS AND AT HOME PROJECTS. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER MUCH NEEDED PROGRAM SUPPLIES AND PRACTICE WORK FOR THE STUDENTS. WE WERE ABLE TO LOAN COMPUTERS TO THOSE STUDENTS THAT NEEDED. OUR FAMILIES NEEDED FOOD AND PPE'S THUS WE CONNECTED TO FIRST RESPONDERS. IN ADDITION TO ESSENTIAL MEALS, MASKS, HAND SANITIZERS, AND ADDITIONAL CLEANING SUPPLIES WERE PROVIDED TO FAMILIES. CITY COMMISSIONERS PROVIDED THE FOOD THROUGH US DURING THE PANDEMIC. WITH OUR SCHOOL CLOSED, THERE WERE LEARNING SUPPLIES IN OUR BUILDINGS THAT WERE OF IMMEDIATE NEED TO FAMILIES. WE GATHERED THESE ITEMS AND DONATED THEM TO FAMILIES. OTHER ITEMS WERE COLLECTED FROM OUR SCHOOL FIRST AID EMERGENCY BINS, AS WELL AS DONATIONS WE RECEIVED FROM FUNDERS AND THE COUNTY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE ITEMS WERE REPLENISHED FOR OUR FACILITY AS SOON AS NEW STOCK BECAME AVAILABLE AND WE CONTINUED TO DISTRIBUTE THEM TO NEEDY CLIENTS.THE PROGRAM WAS RE-OPENED FOR IN-PERSON SUMMER CAMP ON JUNE 1ST AND REMAINED OPENED JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST OF 2020. TO LIMIT THE EXPOSURE OF FAMILIES AND CHILDREN TO ONE ANOTHER AND TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL SAFE AND VIRUS FREE, WE FOLLOWED STRICT CDC GUIDELINES OF USE OF MASKS, HAND WASHING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING.AT THE END OF AUGUST, HAPPY KIDS CHILDCARE, INC. WAS NOT ABLE TO OFFER AYUDA IN-KIND SPACE ANY LONGER AS THE SCHOOL HAD TO CLOSE PERMANENTLY. AYUDA RE-LOCATED ITS OFFICES AND THE STEP-UP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO 1203 71ST STREET IN MIAMI BEACH. 25 CLIENTS WERE SERVED AT 7118 BYRON AVENUE AND CONTINUED AT THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FISCAL YEAR.YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GRADES K-5 AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP: FUNDED IN PART BY THE CHILDREN'S TRUST, THIS PROGRAM OFFERS GROUP READING, TUTORING AND HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE. IN ADDITION, THE ENRICHMENTS OFFERED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM ARE DANCE, ARTS & CULTURE AND S.P.A.R.K. (SPORTS, PLAY AND ACTIVE RECREATION FOR KIDS: 75 CHILDREN & FAMILIES WERE SERVED AT 7118 BYRON AVENUE UNTIL AUGUST 31, 2020 AND THEN IN OUR NEW LOCATION TO CONTINUE SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FISCAL YEAR.
