“To recruit, train, and coordinate community volunteers to mentor clarke county school district children to make a positive difference in the childrens' lives. Mentors visit their mentee at school once each week for a shared activity such as lunch, playground time, and help with homework. Mentors make a one year commitment.”

“During this fiscal year, 50+ new mentors were trained. Hundreds of mentors visited their mentees on multiple occassions, resulting in thousands of mentor/mentee visits. 225+ people attended ccmp's fundraising breakfast. Mentored students have better school attendance, fewer behavioral problems, better attitudes toward school, and a better likelihood of going on to higher education than do comparable non-mentored students.”
