Mission

Our mission is for latinos to achieve positive social change by building consciousness, capacity, and community action.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Health programs:lideres de salud: health promoters worked with auger communications to develop new training materials for health promoters throughout the country. Ventanilla de salud: shared health information and referrals to thousands of latino community members in collaboration with the mexican consulate in raleigh. Derechos sin fronteras: trained latino youth in reproductive health and advocacy. Cancer prevention: educated and provided referrals and support for latino community members about breast and other forms of cancer throughout the continuum of care.
Activity 3
Youth programsworked with latino youth throughout the state to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use. Trained wake county youth leaders about civic engagement and non-partisan voter engagement and developed a new youth program with youth leaders.

IT ALSO PROVIDES GUIDANCE FOR DERECOGNITION, CLASSIFICATION, INTEREST AND PENALTIES, ACCOUNTING IN INTERIM PERIODS, DISCLOSURE AND TRANSITION. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2012, THE ORGANIZATION HAS NO UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS THAT QUALIFY FOR EITHER RECOGNITION OR DISCLOSURE IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION IS ALSO SUBJECT TO ROUTINE TAX AUDITS BY TAXING JURISDICTIONS; HOWEVER, THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO AUDITS FOR ANY TAX PERIODS IN PROGRESS.
