HTA SERVED SEVEN HEALTH CARE PARTNERS AND CONTINUED TO WORK WITH TWO YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATION PARTNERS. TEEN PREGNANCY RATES CONTINUE TO DECLINE THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THIS PROJECT, FROM 26.3% IN 2016 TO 20.5% IN 2019. THE TRAININGS FOR CLINIC PARTNERS SHIFTED FROM IN PERSON TO WEBINARS DURING THE PANDEMIC. THE FOLLOWING TRAININGS WERE MADE AVAILABLE TO THEM: TRAUMA INFORMED SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES PART 1, TRAUMA INFORMED SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES PART 2, BIRTH CONTROL METHODS, CDC GUIDANCE ON CONTRACEPTION METHODS, AND PATIENT CENTERED CONTRACEPTION COUNSELING. DIGITAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS SHIFTED TO PROMOTING TELEHEALTH AND KEEPING YOUTH CONNECTED TO HEALTHCARE IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC. INSTAGRAM AND SNAPCHAT ADS PRODUCED 1,939 VISITS TO THE GREENSBORO LANDING PAGE ON THE PLAYBOOK WEBSITE.HIGH POINT ACCESS (HPA) IS A COLLABORATION WITH GUILFORD COUNTY DHHS (HIGH POINT), YOUTH SERVING ORGANIZATIONS, AND THE FOUNDATION FOR A HEALTHY HIGH POINT TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF HIGH POINT TEENS, AGES 15-19, WHO ACCESS QUALITY SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES AND THE FULL RANGE OF CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS, INCLUDING LONG-ACTING REVERSIBLE CONTRACEPTIVES (LARC), RESULTING IN A DECREASED TEEN PREGNANCY RATE IN HIGH POINT, NC. SHIFT NC HAS PARTNERED WITH THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO ESTABLISH THE JUSTTEENS HIGH (JTHP) TEEN-FOCUSED CLINIC AND TO TRAIN STAFF IN TEEN-FRIENDLY BEST PRACTICES. TO DATE, JTHP HAS CREATED A TEEN-FRIENDLY, TEENS-ONLY WAITING AREA AND IMPLEMENTED OTHER BEST PRACTICES FOR TEEN-FOCUSED SEXUAL HEALTH CARE, WHICH INCLUDE: SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS WITH TIME ALONE WITH A PROVIDER; FREE OR LOW-COST SERVICES; AND SAME-DAY CONTRACEPTIVE COUNSELING AND METHOD PROVISION, IF DESIRED BY THE ADOLESCENT PATIENT. COMMUNITY OUTREACH WAS A STRONG FOCUS THIS YEAR: WE PROVIDED A TRAINING AROUND CONTRACEPTIVE COUNSELING AND MINORS RIGHTS TO GUILFORD COUNTY SCHOOL HEALTH NURSES AND ALSO ATTENDED A HEALTH FAIR ALLOWING US TO SPEAK TO 40 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND TEENS ABOUT JTHP. OVER THE COURSE OF THIS PROJECT, THE CONTRACEPTIVE COVERAGE RATE HAS CONSISTENTLY HOVERED BETWEEN 53-63%. THE INITIAL QUARTERLY BASELINE WAS 54%.LAUGHING GULL FOUNDATION, SHIFT NC WORKED ON TWO COMPONENTS TO CONTINUE TO PARTNER WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO CREATE AND SUSTAIN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS THAT AFFIRM LGBTQ YOUNG PEOPLE. WE PLANNED ADDITIONAL FOCUS GROUPS TO COLLECT QUALITATIVE INFORMATION FROM LGBTQ STUDENTS TO ENSURE WE ARE CENTERING THEIR NEEDS AND LIVED EXPERIENCES AS WE CONTINUE TO DEVELOP THIS WORK. WE ALSO OFFERED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING ON KEEPING LGBTQ YOUTH SAFER IN SCHOOLS TO 64 YOUTH SERVING PROFESSIONALS.TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION INITIATIVES (TPPI), THROUGH THIS FUNDING SHIFT NC PROVIDED INFORMATION, EDUCATION, RESOURCES, CONSULTATION, AND TRAINING TO PROFESSIONALS AND STAKEHOLDERS WORKING TO REDUCE TEEN PREGNANCY IN THE STATE, SERVING 124 PROFESSIONALS THROUGH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE TRAININGS AND WEBINARS. WE ALSO: PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 13 AGENCIES, DISTRIBUTED OUR MONTHLY DIGITAL NEWSLETTER TO AN AVERAGE OF 2,500 PEOPLE, AND DISTRIBUTED MATERIALS FOR DUAL METHOD AND LET'S TALK MONTH CAMPAIGNS TO TARGETED LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS. DURING THIS FUNDING PERIOD, WE ALSO DEVELOPED A 4-YEAR PLAN FOR ENGAGING YOUTH LEADERSHIP FOR SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH IN THE STATE.
