Access College Foundation

The purpose of the foundation is to provide students, who may not have the opportunity, the path to attend and complete college. The foundation provided postsecondary education planning to more than 13,000 high school juniors, seniors, and college students during 2016 and 12,000 in 2015. Of those students, 5,200 families disclosed their income and more than 79% were verified to be low-income. Based on federal free and reduced lunch statistics, other families were likely low-income as well, but did not officially disclose their information. The access college foundation will eliminate barriers to postsecondary education for underrepresented and low-income students who are less likely to attain higher education because of socio-economic factors and lack of information about the college admission and financial aid processes.
