THE PROGRAM IS EXPECTED TO SERVE AN ADDITIONAL 40 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY WITH A GOAL OF INCREASING THE PARTICIPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM IN THE LABOR MARKET. PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS WILL TAKE PART IN JOB TRAINING, COMMUNITY WORK EXPERIENCES AND INTERNSHIPS WITH A GOAL OF ACHIEVING LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT.EMPLOYMENT RESOURCES AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENTTHROUGH THE KEEP IT GREEN PROGRAM, THE SERVICESOURCE VIRGINIA REGIONAL OFFICE OFFERS ELECTRONICS COLLECTION AND DISMANTLING SERVICES FOR AREA RESIDENTS WHILE PROVIDING VALUABLE EMPLOYMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. IN FY 2014 SERVICESOURCE EMPLOYEES PROCESSED MORE THAN 600 TONS OF ELECTRONICS MATERIAL AND REFURBISHED 800 COMPUTERS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A RANGE OF LIFE SKILLS AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING ENTREPRENEURIAL AND SELF-EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITIES.
