Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART I, LINE 1, DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION MISSION (CONTINUED):

We value and respect our volunteers, who are essential to our organization's success, and we strive to create strong partnerships with american farmers, agribusinesses, policymakers, administrators, and international customers. As a trusted and transparent organization, we hold ourselves accountable for our actions and uphold the highest standards of integrity and fiscal responsibility in all that we do.

Form 990, Part XII, Line 2C

The audit and budget committee will review the audited financial statements and are in charge of the selection of the independent auditors.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

The council has authorized board designated funds to be utilized for ethanol development, a rapid response fund, a reserve fund, and a fund for special programs as they arise.

PART X, LINE 2:

In accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, accounting standards require an entity to recognize the financial statement impact of a tax position when it is more-likely-than-not that the position will not be sustained upon examination. Management has evaluated the council's tax positions and concluded there are no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the consolidated financial statements to comply with provisions of this guidance.
