“Each board member at the start of their term is required to read and agree by signing the conflict of interest policy. The policy states the following: there may be times in your role as a board member that you could encounter a conflict of interest. The following guideline are available to help you in such a situation. To avoid a conflict of interest, at the time an action or policy is under consideration, each officer and all elected or appointed officials andstaff members inform the leadership council or board of directors members of any position currently held or held in the past, of any investment, and of any business or a vocational activity that may result in a possible conflict of interest or bias for or against the particular action or policy. Officers, directors, or staff members abstain from participation in the review of or from voting on any action in which they have a direct or indirect interest. The person having the conflict retires from the room in which the leadership council or board of directors is meeting but provides any and all relevant information. The minutes of the meeting reflect that the conflict of interest was disclosed and that the interested person was not present during the final discussion and did not vote. I agree that i will follow the above guidelines and if in doubt about a situation, i will bring it to the attention of the other officers for clarification.”

The process last took place in 2017.”
