“The primary program of calyx, inc. Is the production of calyx journal a journal dedicated to publishing the finest art and literature by women. Calyx journal receives submissions from approximately 700 individuals, has 752 subscribers, and is distributed to bookstores nationwide. In addition to production of calyx journal, calyx continues to work on a multi year assessment of program activities through demographic surveys, social media, and the development of an online community. Calyx has also undertaken a celebration of our 40th anniversary celebrations in 2016 by producing an anthology and working to expand our reach. In addition to the above, calyx is currently working to reinvigorate our brand and organization to better adapt to a rapidly changing publishing world. We have also put substantial efforts into rebuilding our board of directors and welcomed 3 new members in the beginning of 2016.”
