First Hunt Foundations primary purpose is to keep the Hunting Heritage alive in America. This is done by mentoring new hunters, recruiting mentors to help new hunters and building a sustainable organization to keep the process going. FHF primarily works with youth wanting to learn hunting skills, but also works with some adults.

“FHF has a tradition of giving out free caps to all the new hunters that go out. Likewise, hats and shirts with the FHF logo are given out to mentors who are willing to be ambassadors for the First Hunt Foundation. FHF accomplished 5,782 total mentor days of which 3,828 were youth and 2,099 were adults. FHF granted part of the entry fee for the Beyond BOW hunters camp to help individuals who could not afford to pay.”
