“Other expenses include web services, office supplies, computer programs, phone costs, travel to outdoor shows, advertising and insurance. Expenses to implement the mission of First Hunt Foundation. Covers the 3 areas of Mentoring, Recruiting Mentors and Building a National Organization. FHF has no paid staff and is operated by a cadre of volunteer leaders and mentors. Major expenses are directed at finding and recruiting more volunteers who in turn donate their time to deliver the mission of FHF. Attending large outdoor shows involves booth fees and travel expenses for volunteers who staff the booth for 3-5 days at a time. Funds are also used to get equipment for the mentoring operation that occurs in 28 states. FHF gives hats and certificates to mentees to celebrate and remember their new hunting experience. Safety equipment and hunting supplies are often provided as most mentees have no personal equipment of their own. Mentors also get hats and often shirts to promote professionalism and field identity of FHF volunteers.”
