Hunger impact partners relies on volunteers to coordinate research projects, marketing, communications and community outreach.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Hunger impact partners continued to target under-utilzed federal nutrition programs for at-risk minnesota children in low income households. The organization has five programs to boost nutrition programs for children including: (1) birth to five. Hunger impact partners advocates to reinstate wic state funding designated for purchase of fruits and vegitables and to secure a usda pilot project for minnesota to support online purchasing for wic familes. (2) meals at licensed child care centers. The organization works with centers in low-income areas to support start-up and expansion of meal services. (3) school breakfast. Hunger impact partners strives to increase outreach efforts to school sites, in order to make nutrition an academic learning priority. (4) after-school meals. The organization concentrates on adding after- school meals at middle schools and high schools for students participating in extra-cirricular academics, athletics and arts activities by addressing barriers including administrative requirements, lack of access and stigma among students. (5) summer meals initiative. Hunger impact partners created the first-of- its-kind in the nation mobile app to locate free summer meals sites for kids and thier families.

HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS ADVOCATES TO REINSTATE WIC STATE FUNDING DESIGNATED FOR PURCHASE OF FRUITS AND VEGITABLES AND TO SECURE A USDA PILOT PROJECT FOR MINNESOTA TO SUPPORT ONLINE PURCHASING FOR WIC FAMILES. (2) MEALS AT LICENSED CHILD CARE CENTERS. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH CENTERS IN LOW-INCOME AREAS TO SUPPORT START-UP AND EXPANSION OF MEAL SERVICES. (3) SCHOOL BREAKFAST. HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS STRIVES TO INCREASE OUTREACH EFFORTS TO SCHOOL SITES, IN ORDER TO MAKE NUTRITION AN ACADEMIC LEARNING PRIORITY. (4) AFTER-SCHOOL MEALS. THE ORGANIZATION CONCENTRATES ON ADDING AFTER- SCHOOL MEALS AT MIDDLE SCHOOLS AND HIGH SCHOOLS FOR STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN EXTRA-CIRRICULAR ACADEMICS, ATHLETICS AND ARTS ACTIVITIES BY ADDRESSING BARRIERS INCLUDING ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS, LACK OF ACCESS AND STIGMA AMONG STUDENTS. (5) SUMMER MEALS INITIATIVE. HUNGER IMPACT PARTNERS CREATED THE FIRST-OF- ITS-KIND IN THE NATION MOBILE APP TO LOCATE FREE SUMMER MEALS SITES FOR KIDS AND THIER FAMILIES.
