Mission

To enhance the cultural life of the olneyville neighborhood of providence, rhode island, by producing public arts exhibitions, facilitating artist residencies and building relationships between artists, educators and the community at large, through educational events focused on street-side public displays as well as lectures, artist talks and workshops.to create opportunities for female-identified artists and other people historically marginalized within the arts.

The organization has a written conflict of interest policy as part of the organization's by-laws. The organization's policy states that individuals should avoid placing themselves in positions wherein actual or perceived conflicts could arise. All directors complete a conflict of interest disclosure prior to joining the board, and disclosures are updated annually. All potential conflicts are reviewed by the full board of directors. The board determines whether a given transaction is on fair and reasonable terms and is in best interest of the organization, and then determines whether the organization should proceed with the transaction. In addition, if a conflict of interest exists, the director in question must recuse him or herself from any vote or recommendation regarding the transaction.

RUFFLES REPAIR AND RITUAL: THE FINE ART OF FIXING (RRR) WAS INITIALLY FUNDED BY THE ANDY WARHOL FOUNDATION WITH SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING FOR ARTISTS COMMISSIONS WHICH WERE CAPITALIZED TO THE BUILDING. THIS EXHIBITION ENDED IN THE SUMMER OF 2021. IN THE FALL OF 2021 WE LAUNCHED AN EXHIBITION WITH 3 ARTISTS WHO HAD PHOTOGRAPHED THE WEDDING CAKE HOUSE BEFORE OUR RENOVATION.
