Mission

To support the Yazidi Community after the genocidal campaign in August 2014 . The goal is to help thousands of displaced families and individuals that have been uprooted from their homeland. Yazda provides humanitarian aid, psych, and social assistance and medical clinic.

“Yazda Preservation of the Yazidi Cultural Heritage and documenting the stories, traditions, and rituals of the community, many of which have been lost or are on the verge of losing. The project covers many aspects of the lives of the Yazidi people and teaches the children as well as the international community that this one had a rich tradition this project also contributed to preserving the intangible part of this heritage. Yazda project of case management and MHPSS that provided psychosocial support for the victims of violence from the Yazidi community in Iraq. This project is ongoing and it has provided great support for as many as 700 families who are in great need with which has also elevated the economic level and change their lives for many fronts.”

It's funded by USAID and Supported by IOM. The Aims of the project are to support the return of the most vulnerable and undertake a multidisciplinary, supervised program that includes livelihood, and economic independence, supporting access to services including social cohesion and psychological support, diaspora engagement, and administrative support. Activities and targets: * Open 30 small businesses for returnees in Sinjar * continue Supporting 35 teachers in 8 schools which hosts 5800 students * Supporting 8 schools with stationery and school supplies every month * Supporting 6 youth groups for community and youth mobilization and activisms * Providing psychosocial support to 240 beneficiaries |4d. Yazda Project supported By USAID and Heartland Alliances The amount is $22,500 for the year 2021. The project is the continuation Yazda support for survivors of sexual violence by ISIS, regardless of their religion, gender, ethnicity, or age. Yazda addressed the complex needs of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Survivors by offering Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) case management.
