“Prior to completion of this 990, a draft was reviewed in detail by Jason Williams, President & Director. After his review, he provided feedback and review notes to 20-20 Accounting Solutions. Upon addressing these notes, a final draft was provided to Mr. Williams to ensure all changes were made satisfactorily. Upon his approval, the return was filed with no further changes.”

“The Executive Directors compensation plan is reviewed annually during the organizations Board Retreat. The board considers the compensation plans of similar roles at various comparable non-profits as well as the the Executive Directors qualifications, degrees, and past performance. A consensus is reached and documented in the board minutes.”

“No officers other than the Executive Director receive compensation for their service at this time. The Executive Director continues to refuse any salary increase. He is paid an annual salary plus performance bonus. Jessica Leslie, Blakely Barley and Sam Sharples are key employees paid a salary based on 40 hour weeks. These positions and salaries are voted upon by the board of directors. Salaries are based on local and national averages for similar positions. Raises for key employees are based on performance evaluations by the Executive Director and conveyed to the board of directors for a vote.”

“Copies of the articles of incorporation, bylaws of the organization, and unaudited financial statements are available to the public throughout the year upon request.”

“Form 990, Part I, Line 1, Primary Exempt Purpose - The mission of Aspire Movement is to address the urban crisis by providing mentors as advocates for at-risk urban youth, to provide structure and support for mentors through a network of resources to be used for the personal growth and development of students, and to prevent high school dropout, teenage pregnancy and overall crime in the community by encouraging and providing means for at-risk youth to flourish.”
