Raise the River is a coalition effort comprised of the Redford Center and five other U.S. and Mexican NGOsEnvironmental Defense Fund, Nature Conservancy, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, ProNatura Noroeste, the Sonoran Institute. The Redford Centers education and advocacy efforts on behalf of Raise the River are centered on the award-winning, Redford Center-produced documentary WATERSHED, which has been screened more than 400 times in a dozen countries, has been selected to run at more than 46 film festivals and won numerous awards, had its broadcast on Pivot TV this past spring and has been picked up by several educational and online distributors. Thanks to WATERSHED and the Redford Centers media efforts, Raise the River continues to raise awareness about the threats to the Colorado River and its Delta, offering solutions and hope for the water future of the American West. |
