Mission and Program Overview

Mission

ReThink Media's mission is to strengthen the collaborative media and communications capacity of nonprofit think tanks, experts, and advocacy groups working toward a more constructive U.S. foreign and national security policy, protecting human and civil rights, and strengthening democracy. We provide our member organizations with ongoing training and capacity building in critical media and communications skills. We monitor and conduct extensive research and analysis of both traditional and social media as well as all available public opinion polls on the issues our organizations work on. We also work to improve collaboration and coordination across each of the sectors we work in and to assist groups and campaigns with direct media and public relations support, including coordinating rapid response, assisting with op-ed and editorial campaigns, and the pitching and placement of spokespeople.
