“10bitworks is a non-profit, membership-supported project space and learning center concept known as a hackerspace. 10bitworks is located in san antonio, texas as a garage-lab environment where hobbyists get together to make their own creations whether practical, experimental, or just for fun. Those hobbyists mentor each other and others in the domains of engineering, science, design and art.”

In 2018, several welding classes were held which were open to the public as well and working with the utsa engineering dept to provide classes to students in the aluminum can smelting. The organization held two project days with the girl scouts to build "little libraries". A mallet building workshop was also held to teach widely applicable woodworking skills. The organization participated in the san antonio mini maker fair at central library with smelting deomonstrations and build your own derby race cars and had a booth at maker's village at the hemisfair festival deomonstrating laser cutting, engraving and 3d printing.”
