Louis, missouri through consolidated ownership and control, while providing quality affordable housing to low and moderate income residents of the neighborhoods through rental of the stabilized and improved residential units.

Compton hill is managed and operated by staff of desales community housing corp., a missouri non-profit corporation which is also a 501(c)(3) organization (including fox grove management, llc, a single-member disregarded entity of which desales community housing corporation is the sole member). Minutes are taken at each board and committee meeting.

Compton hill properties is a single-member limited liability company whose sole member is desales community housing corporation, a non-profit corporation with 13 voting directors. Members of the board of directors are elected by the existing directors, as provided by missouri law (a self-perpetuating board). Most of the board members are residents of the neighborhoods served by the organization. Board members serve overlapping three year terms with no term limits.

Form 990, Part III

In december 2019, a novel strain of coronavirus (covid-19) surfaced. The spread of covid-19 around the world in 2020 has caused significant volatility in u.s. And international markets. In march 2020, the city of st. Louis health department issued a stay-at-home order applicable to all but essential workers. Since that time the corporation's offices have been closed to the public and admission is by appointment only. Communication with tenants, staff and vendors is done electronically as much as possible. Personal protection equipment is provided to all employees and is replenished as needed. Office personnel are working on rotating schedules to reduce the number of people in the office at one time. The corporation follows and distributes to staff the latest cdc and health department recommendations. In cases where employees are required to isolate or quarantine, the corporation has utilized funding under the cares act passed by congress to cover their pay for a two-week period. The corporation has experienced delays in supply chains and is looking to develop new vendor relationships to help ease that impact. There is significant uncertainty around the breadth and duration of business disruptions related to covid-19, as well as its impact on the u.s. And international economies and, as such, the corporation is unable to determine if it will have a material impact to its operations.
