Additional Explanations

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

During 2020, 38 homes were repaired by some 275 volunteers from several different organizations. In addition to home repair, the program includes: (1) working with neighborhood leaders and social service organizations to best target the program's efforts; (2) encouraging support from local material suppliers; and (3) encouraging financial contributors to maximize the efforts of volunteers. The volunteers accounted for 2,071 hours of work. The value of the donated services during 2020 for this program was 59,489. In march 2020, the world health organization declared the novel strain of coronavirus (covid-19) a global pandemic. The covid-19 pandemic is having, and will likely continue to have, significant impacts on global markets, businesses, and communities. As of the date of issuance, the ultimate length and severity of this pandemic cannot be reasonably estimated. However, during 2020 the number of home repair events declined significantly resulting in a decrease in overall expenses of 56%. Grant and contribution support declined 9% in 2020. Management will continue to monitor the impact of covid-19 on the organization and will reflect the consequences, as appropriate, in the organizations financial statements.
