Mission

Mediapolis community housing, inc. Is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of iowa for the purpose of operating a 16 unit elderly housing project known as mediapolis elderly housing (the elderly housing) located in mediapolis, iowa and an 8 unit family housing project known as mediapolis family housing(the family housing). The projects were financed and constructed under u.s. Department of agriculture (usda), rural development regulations. Under the program, mediapolis community housing, inc. Provides housing to the low and moderate-income elderly and families, subject to regulations by usda as to rental charges and operating methods. Lower rental charges to tenants are recovered by mediapolis community housing, inc. Through rental subsidies provided by usda.

Mediapolis community housing, inc. Has an agreement with rightway management services as of may 1, 2021 to handle the management responsibilities. Under the terms of this agreement, rightway management services received a monthly management fee equal to 58 per occupied unit for the year ended december 31, 2021. The total management fees incurred for the year ended december 31, 2021 were 14,448. The agreement renews unless notification is made of an intention to terminate the agreement.

Although there is no formal written conflict of interest policy, the board members are aware of such situations and have complied with an informal unwritten policy. Every three years the board is required to affirm that there are no conflicts of interest. This policy is also enforced by regulations with usda rural development.
