The auditors prepare form 990 and the fiscal manager reviews form 990. A copy of form 990 is emailed to the board officers before the meeting. The board officers can call the auditors or fiscal manager with any questions and will approve the report before it is filed.

When a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest occurs, individual board and board committee members will 1. Disclose the possible conflict of interest to the board of directors 2. Withdraw from discussions about a conflict of interest issue 3.abstain from voting about (board) or recommending (board committee) a conflict of interest issue. 4. Determine the possible conflict of interest with the board and determine steps to deal with the conflict. The board of directors will a. Give feedback to the individual board/board committee member about the possible conflict of interest b. Decide if any steps are needed by the board of directors as a whole. The board as a whole, will determine whether a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest exists.

The board of director's negotiated compensation with the executive director taking her education and experiences into consideration. Reach-up's wage scale was also utilized in determining the executive director's compensation. A letter from reach-up's board of directors to the executive director is in the personnel file documenting the annual salary and benefits. The process was last completed in 2015. Others: negotiation within market wage survey results; then federal cola. After consultation with the executive director, the human resource coordinator enters the rate into the human resources information system. The process was last completed in 2015.
