Mission

Together we advance the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Residential services:opportunity partners began offering residential services to people with disabilities in the early 1970s, assisting people as they transitioned from large institutions into community-based housing and encouraging people who did not require 24-hour supervision to live as independently as possibly in their own homes with our support. We currently provide services to nearly 200 people with disabilities in their own homes and also provide 24-hour staff support to another 90 individuals living at 20 community residences (four to six residents live in each home). Our clients benefit from opportunities to get involved in their community and make lasting friendships. Residential services are currently offered in hennepin, anoka and sherburne counties, serving 300 individuals in all. Satisfaction surveys and licensing reviews promote opportunity partners' attention to quality in services and property management. Opportunity partners is also researching new housing options for interested individuals.opportunity partners' residential staff have earned state recognition. Residential staff member mary david earned a 2010 arrm cares award and arc minnesota award for commitment to working with people with disabilities.
