Once reviewed and any amendments adopted, the finance committee provides the draft form 990 to the board of directors with their recommendation. Board members review the draft and approve the draft prior to filing.”

One on one employment coaching includes: job readiness training, digital literacy training, assessment and goal setting, resume and job application assistance, mock interviewing and skill-building activities, referral to job leads, pre-screening for direct placements, clothing and transportation assistance, follow-up and job retention. In 2015, CCL designed and launched an industry-specific Information Technology Bridge Initiative focused on cultivating the skills and resources clients need to advance to college coursework, job training, and an Information Technology career path. In late 2015, CCL applied for and was awarded a Social Innovation Fund award to expand and enhance the program over the next three years. In 2015, training services were provided to 112 people, employment placement services were provided to 130 people and retention services were provided to 143 people. In 2015, 54 people were placed into employment. |

To that end CCL provides one on one and group financial coaching that focus on: Developing participants' financial visions, outcomes, action plans and accountability structures, financial assessment and mobilization and application of resources to the financial action plans, inclusive of innovative financial products including Twin accounts credit building loans, IDAs, secured credit cards, Financial Club and Banking Days, and access and connections to pro bono and specialized resources around identity theft, bankruptcy, consolidation, tax preparation, loan modification and investment. Embedded within financial coaching, CCL provides HUD certified Housing Counseling. In 2015, CCL entered into a partnership with Mission Asset Fund to become the second provider of Lending Circles in CHicago. Lending Circles are a unique zero interest, small dollar, credit building, social loan product that provide a new, innovative means for households to build credit and assets to achieve their financial goals. IN 2015, 102 people completed a baseline financial assessment and 376 people completed follow-up assessments. Of those, 284 achieved a financial success: 165 increases in credit, 77 increases in net income, and 167 increases in net worth. In 2015, 110 people were assisted with one on one HUD certified housing counseling. |

"resource Up!" mobilizes CCL's web of relationships on behalf of clients, leveraging its broad and diverse community of stakeholders, partners and donors to expand the relational capital of clients and thereby, increase their ability to achieve economic advancement. In 2015, 166 people were screened for income supports. Of these, 98 were eligible for a benefit and 78 obtained a new of increased benefit amount. |
